Recoding the Praxis website
Praxis website was in need of a frontend recoding due to the difficulties of maintaining it. When maintenance costs are high and the website code is old then a new website WWW compliant, more accessible and usable is required.
We decided to re-code the site using PHP included files for footer/header/meta, optimize the page loading by compressing images and JS scripts and apply the same design to the blog. A smooth transition from the website to the blog was obtained.
Before the recoding the website and the blog had different designs and we tried to give the user the impression that surfing the blog does not mean navigating away from the Praxis website.
We have also targeted the website and the blog for the Iphone users, coding 2 Iphone stylesheets and improvinf the overall usability for the Iphone visitors.
